Nick and I went and hiked Camelback last Saturday and it was so much fun!!! I have always loved hiking and had to convince Nick he would love it too if he just went and tried and it was a success, he loved it!!! We want to try to go a few times a month now and find some fun new places!! It was a dang good work out for the both of us, we were both drenched by the time we got to the top, yeah for 110 degree weather!!!

This deserves a post!! Nick has been patiently waiting to see if he got accepted into ASU's buisness school and he DID!!! We are soooo excited for him, he has worked so hard these past few years balancing family, work, school, and church callings and it has really paid off!! We are excited for this new adventure and I know he will do great!! We love you babe, Congratulations!!!

Rigdon is by far WAY crazier than Payson ever was!! This kid is into everything!! I LOVE it though!! He hasn't permanently destroyed anything yet but when he does I will take those words back!! He really is so much fun, Nick can't get enough of having a little boy to wrestle with and Rigdon loves, loves, loves his daddy!! It's so much fun to have one of each because boys and girls by nature are just soooo different and both equally as fun!! Rigdon is getting so big so fast, he turns one next month and I just can't believe it. He is flying through our house.....still on hands and knees and has started taking a few steps. He is such a good boy.....except when he is teething!! He loves his sister and wants to follow her around ALL day.....she doesn't really love that though!! Payson is really great with him, she does make a point to give him her attention when needed and loves to make him happy!

This is what he does almost every night while I'm making dinner......gotta love that smile though!!! What ever it takes to get dinner made without holding a child in your arms!!

I love this face, although he makes it way too much and it just yells TROUBLE!!!

Payson started preschool this week!! It's so crazy to think she is already old enough to go to preschool. She was soooo excited, she had been waiting all year to go. She had a blast her first day. All of her little best friends are in her class and in her words, "there's even BOYS!!". She loves those boys!! When I pulled up to drop her off she didn't even want me to walk her to the door, she just kept telling me over and over again "mom, you don't need to walk me to the door!". I was kind of appalled, but I talked her into letting me walk her up this one time because all the other moms are doing it!!! She is wayyyy to young to be saying those kinds of things. She had a great time, Rigdon on the other hand missed his sister. He kept going to her bedroom door and just sitting there thinking she was going to come out of it at any moment, it was so cute!! I love my kids, they are so much fun but getting way to big way to fast. Rigdon has been a champ this week. He's had his first ear infection along with his 2 top teeth come through, to say the least its been a rough week with him but he's hanging in there. Nick started a new job and is now going to school full time!! yeah!! He just applied to ASU's business school so we'll see if he gets in this semester or next. We've had lots of changes but good ones, it's been a great learning experience for us.

Payson turned 3 on June 14th!! I can't believe that our baby girl is 3. Upon her request she wanted a swimming princess party. Thanks to my in laws we accomplished just that, we got to swim in their pool and set up the slide again, which is always a big hit. Payson got everything a little girl could dream of. My mom made her this adorable princess cake and we also served chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting, per her request!!

Of coarse once again I didn't take hardly any pictures of my kids on Easter Sunday. We were in such a rush to get out of the house for church that I missed all opportunities to snap pics before all the lovely spit up and snacks were rubbed all over their cute Easter clothes. When we finally arrived at my in laws later that afternoon I remembered my camera and captured a few pictures of Nick and Payson trying to fly a kite.....which was very comical.

Nick turned the BIG 25 on Saturday!! We started off the morning with a big breakfast of his choice, breakfast burritos!! Payson helped me in the kitchen and Nick ate his little heart out. We surprised him with a laptop for his b-day. He's been needing one for school for a while now andI just can't ever get him to spend the money on himself, so I did it for him!! He of course loved it and spent his afternoon doing homework on it.....what fun on your b-day!! We then headed over to his mom's for a little birthday celebration where he got hooked up with some more accessories for his computer, which he loved!! After that we dropped the kiddo's off at my mom's and went out to dinner and to the Hale theater. We were the youngest one's in that place by at least 50 years!! A few years ago we won tickets to attend a play at the Hale theatre and to my MAJOR dismay Nick loved it.....such a random thing for him to enjoy!! I have to say I'm not a fan of theatre or really movies for that matter, just way to much A.D.D. to sit through!! Anyway, I got him tickets to see "The King and I" for his birthday, I kept hearing it should be a great play. Well, we got through the first half and at intermission we left......we both were sooooo bored!! We decided that we or should I say Nick only enjoys the comedy play's. Anyway, we had a great day and it was fun making it all about Nick. He truly is an amazing husband and father. I honestly don't know how he does what he does, works full time... plus some, goes to school, serves in the church and makes time for us, Always!! He has the most patience in the entire world and would do anything for anybody. He honestly is the most thoughtful kind hearted person I know and did I mention the funniest most outta control person too!! We love you babe, Happy Birthday!!!

More Valentine's Day fun!

Our ward had a Valentine's Dinner that night so we got one of the Young Women from our ward to watch our kids. We had Mary-Kate and Lowee come over to join the party, these girls could play all night if we let them, their like sisters!! We walked into the house at around 9pm and this is what we found!! The girls were dressed up in these 1990's dance costumes of my cousins, just singing and dancing there little hearts out!! We were all cracking up, and our sweet little Rigdon stayed fast asleep during all the commotion!! Thanks Jade and Cheyenne for the costumes, they really are a big hit around here!!

This morning I was getting Payson ready for church and she insisted on having "Sleeping Beauty" hair. I asked her what that looked like and she said "LONG mom!!" Like I should know that sort of thing....duh!! I always put her hair up in some sort of way after Nick butchered her hair a few months ago, I just can't stand the mullet look!! So I tried straightening it and it actually looked pretty cute and she loved it. I thought she looked so grown up, she was proud!!

Payson and Rigdon have become the best little buddies. He loves, loves, loves his sister and laughs at her every move. It is so much fun to have these two and watch their relationship grow. I'm sure we'll be reading this in a few years and wonder what happened but right now it is the best.

So many people think they look so much a like, Payson was a MUCH bigger baby than he is though!!

I love this little boy, he is the cutest!! He is changing so much. He is almost sitting up, eating baby food, STILL won't take a bottle, sleeping almost through the whole night.....yea for me, and recognizing when I leave him.....momma's boy!! He is the best little baby, if all ours were like him I would have 10!!

Doesn't she seem so big? She is growing up so much!! Payson has recently become completely potty trained, we are THRILLED!!!

Swim Lessons

Payson started swim lessons last week and she loved every minute of it. I was a little nervous that she wouldn't get in since she hasn't been swimming since summer time but she got right in and down to business. There are only 5 kids in her class and one of them happens to be her best little boy friend, Tyce! They just giggled and giggled at every little thing and they both did so awesome!! She has been practicing her moves ever since and can't wait until tomorrow to go again.

The teacher was showing her how to do something and when I showed her this picture on my camera she said that her and Ms. Stacy were dancing.......such a girl thing to say!!

This last Sunday we were able to bless Rigdon. Nick did a wonderful job, I always look forward to these times. It is such a sweet, special time to watch your husband take your little baby in his arms and give them a blessing that comes directly from their father in heaven. I wish I would have taken more pictures but I ALWAYS seem to get myself caught up in all the action. I want to hire a photographer to follow my family and I around and take pictures for me......I'm really bad!! Anyway, we had lots of family and friends who made the trek all the way out here...thanks to all who came, we always enjoy your company!! Here are the VERY few pictures that I did take!!!

Halloween this year was a ton of fun. Payson is at the perfect age, she was so into dressing up and loved every minute of all the festivities. Every year my in-laws ward does a HUGE fall festival which includes pony rides, a train ride, bouncing castles, cotton candy, shaved ice, games and more games. We had fun but of course I forgot my camera!! Then on Friday was our ward party and that was a big hit as well. Payson dressed up as Sleeping beauty, she is VERY into all the princesses right now and she loved whenever she saw another girl dressed like one.

This is not even the whole mess, after I cleaned her poop covered hands off, I realized I need to capture this on camera. She not only had it all over hands but all over her legs too. Lately she hasn't wanted me to help her when she goes potty, so therefore I wasn't in the room as this occurred. After a few minutes of wondering what she was up to in there, this is what I discovered!! She didn't mind the nasty smell or the mess, if fact she enjoyed it!!

If your wondering about ever using my bathroom again, no worries I spent a good ten minutes disinfecting the hazardous area......you can do your deed worry free!!!

Well, once again I'm slacking on the whole blogging world but with that being said I was actually able to capture a few INTERESTING moments on camera. Life with 2 kids has been an easy adjustment but by the end of the day I am sooooo ready for Nick to be home. He is a wonderful help, he jumps right into the action when he gets home but as you can see by some of the following pictures, it's not always the way I would handle things........to say the least!!!

So the other night he says, "I'll give Payson a bath" I'm thinking, great I have tons to do. So as I'm in the kitchen cleaning up I hear Payson yelling for me to come see her, which I thought was weird because I knew Nick was in there watching her. As I walked into the bathroom, I couldn't believe me eyes!!!! HE CUT HER HAIR!!!!!! Yes, you read that right! My poor little girl who didn't have hair until she was nearly 2 years old, now is sporting a MULLET!!! I thought I was going to die or actually I thought I was going to kill him!! I couldn't even talk, yell, think, or look at him or her!! She was smiling from ear to ear, she loved every minute of her daddy cutting her hair but little did she know he made a full blown mullet out of her hair!!! Ok so right now your probably wondering why on earth he would attempt such an act, I asked the same question!! He said with a big smile on his face, " her bangs were always in her eyes and I wanted to TRIM them up a bit"!!! I about had a heart attack, not only did he think he just trimmed them, he cut them when they were wet, therefore when they dried they were EVEN SHORTER!!! It doesn't end there, he not only cut what he considered "bangs" he cut half way around her head and it's not even straight!! I still get sick to my stomach thinking about it and how now I will not only hide the scissors from my children but my husband too!!! Anyway, I got over it, were trying to move on with the situation, I threatend his life the next time he attempts such a thing to any of our little girls. I now have to use a whole bottle of hair spray just to keep her bangs swooped to the side. Life goes on, enjoy the photos!!

We had fun doing a boys room, we really weren't sure what we were going to do, it all just kind of came together!! Well, after almost 2 weeks OVER due, I was induced on Wed the 10th at 5am!!! We didn't have him until 8:45pm that same night, not bad considering it took me 26 hours with Payson!! For some reason my body just doesn't go into labor very well I guess!! He is a healthy 8lbs 10oz and 21.7 inches long!! We named him Rigdon Richard Johnson. His middle name is after Nicks dad who passed away several years ago. He is such a sweet baby, doesn't hardly make a sound. Payson has been pretty good so far, she tells me about a hundred times a day "mommy, Rigdon is soooo cute!" I crack up every time because her tone of voice is one of an adult saying such a thing!! I have enjoyed Nick being home these last few days, Monday will be hard to see him go back to work, he has been such a huge help.

The Lake

Saturday we had the opportunity to take Nicks bosses boat out to the lake. We had a ton of fun, Payson was in heaven!! We went with Jason and Heidi Woody and another family from their work. I was a little hesitant at first due to the fact that I'm due in just a few weeks and didn't think it would be much fun to just have to sit there, but it was actually nice to sit back and watch Nick and Payson have so much fun. I was actually hoping all the bumping and bouncing I was doing on the boat would rattle this baby out but no such luck....dang it!! Nick came home Friday from work with a surprise for Payson.....a Cinderella life jacket, there was no turning back after that, she was SOOO excited to put it to use. Nick thinks she'll be ready next summer to try out the wakeboard......bless his heart!!!

Payson started a little dance class on Tuesday and it was hilarious!! Her and Mary-Kate dance and sing all day long so we figured it was a good time to put them in a class and they both were a riot. Payson wasn't shy one bit, she acted like she owned the place, I was laughing so hard!! She is definitely nothing like her mom, I was such a tom boy and she is ALL girl!!

Saturday was Payson's 2nd birthday and boy did she have fun!! We had been telling her all week that it was going to be her birthday on Saturday, so when Saturday finally rolled around she was so excited. We just had a few friends and our families over for dinner and a little backyard madness with a massive slide that our poor 2 year old was terrified of!! There were only a handful of little kids that would actually participate in the madness but I think Mary-Kate took the cake, she was an ANIMAL!!! She loved the slide, Payson on the other hand was petrified, Nick attempted on several occasions to coax her down, so finally he stuck her up at the top and gave her a little push!! She ended up liking it but still was a little hesitant about it. We had a great time, thank you to everyone who came!! I can't believe our baby girl is no longer a baby. These last 2 years have flown by, she is such a blessing in our family. She has more personality than I know what to do with and is so much fun. Happy Birthday Payson!!

And No I don't let her out in public with those Dora shoes!! I asked her to go and get her shoes on and that's what she came out with, I promise we changed those bad boys before we walked into church.
She is very intense about this whole hair styling thing, check out the looks on her face!!

Payson's latest thing is wanting to style everyones hair. I sometimes like it because it's always a treat to have someone play with your hair but she gets a little rough occasionally and we have to put an end to it. This past Sunday we had Stake conference, that means daddy has NO bishopric meetings before church and we all actually get to go together. It seems like it's been forever since we've gotten to go to church with Nick and Payson was loving every minute of helping her daddy get ready. She even wanted to do his hair!!! Hallelujah that it was finally his turn for the torture treatment!! She wants you to sit perfectly still as she SCRATCHES your scalp with the comb and then puts a million sprays of detangler in your hair!! I loved every minute of watching this take place and see Nick almost in tears as he kept telling her it looked great!! Thanks to her aunt Michelle for teaching her great hair styling techniques, now she wants to be just like her!!!

Well, its been like a year since I've last posted but I have a good excuse.....our camera was broken!! I've just concluded that I'm officially really bad about updating our blog, I swear I'm going to get better now that I have a device to capture some moments on! So yesterday was officially the first day back into the photo taking world for us. We had such a blast going to sun splash. It had been YEARS since I'd been there and I found out yesterday for the first time that Nick had NEVER been before!! Holy cow, he grew up in Mesa/Gilbert practically his whole life!! We went with the whole Bridge clan and the Baums, thanks Bridges for such a fun day and introducing such a cool place to Nick....bless his heart!! Payson loved every minute of it, although the water was a bit chilly, and all the kids were a little hesitant at first but they got in and had so much fun.

The Fort and the Suns

Dallin and Sherry came over Saturday morning after I got home from the garage sales and invited us to go to the Suns game. Nick was jumping up and down like he had just won the lottery or something!! We had a great time, Nick thought it was so cool to see Shaq. The Suns killed the Kings and we ended up leaving early. Thanks Dallin and Sherry we had a great time!!

Nick would not keep a straight face for the life of him, believe me we tried several times to get a decent picture out of him!! Gotta love him!!

Saturday I got up bright and EARLY to go garage selling with my neighbor Katie. She is the queen of finding great deals at garage sales. I have been looking for some outdoor toys for the backyard so I thought I give it a shot. We came up empty handed but I did find Payson a little mini dirt devil vacuum and a baby swing for her dolls. I was so excited to get home and show her what I found but to my dismay she was more excited to show me what her and daddy had been up to all morning!! She ran me right into her room and this is what I found!! Nick and her eating skittles at 9 o'clock in the morning having a blast in the fort they made!! She did not want him to get out, they were both in heaven. Nick kept telling me about how much fun he had as a kid making forts all the time, so thats there new little thing.

Alright, everyone has been giving me a hard time about not blogging in forever, so here I go!! We had Nicks 24th birthday earlier this month which was fun!! Payson and I baked him a cake and she enjoyed frosting it the most. I think she dipped her hand in the frosting just about every time I turned my head. We didn't really celebrate on his actual b-day because it was on a Friday and he said he'd rather do something on Saturday so he could have the whole day......he actually believes when it's your b-day you get a whole week to celebrate.......oh shoot me!!! So on Saturday I surprised him and we went and got massages, which is a whole other story!! He really enjoyed that and it was much deserved for him. Then after that I took him on a wild goose chase to Flemings Steak House, he has been wanting to go there for a while now and I thought his b-day was a good enough excuse to blow WAY to much money on food!!! We had a great time, Nick was in heaven eating his steak, I of course got chicken!!! His birthday was a success, he's finally as old as I am, which always makes him feel a little bit better!! He is an amazing husband and dad. He works so hard, goes to school and has a very busy church calling but he always is sure to spend time with his girls, he's the BEST!!

Nick and I along with Jason and Heidi Woody went snowboarding this weekend up at Sunrise. It was a ton of fun and Freezing cold!! We left Friday afternoon to drive up and we were hearing that the roads were all closed up north because it had been snowing all day. That wouldn't stop Nick and Jason from going though, they were dead set on it.....shoot me!!! We got to about Heber and it was snowing like crazy all the way to Sunrise, it was a SLOW trip but very adventurous to say the least!!! Saturday morning we woke up and it was a beautiful sunny day but still way cold. We all had a great time, Nick hadn't been since before his mission and it had been a few years for me too. No trips to the ER, which was good, I was a little nervous for Nick. If any of you know my husband he can get a little crazy, I had to give him like 5 pep talks about not doing anything dumb. Of course I was way worried about being 3 months pregnant and going but my Dr. said it would be alright up until I was 5 months along. I just took it easy and stayed out the way of the skiers!!

Our little family of three is about to become a family of four!!! Were havin' a baby!! I'm due at the end of August, which should be a total blast going through the hottest part of the summer huge and pregnant......shoot me!!! We are all way excited, Payson thinks the baby is in her belly, daddys belly and of course mine but that's because she thinks everyone has a baby, gotta love little kids!!

We had some of our friends and neighbors over for dinner/FHE last night and the kids all decided it would be fun if they all jumped in Payson's crib together. We have so much fun with our neighbors, the kids all love each other and play almost everyday together. Poor Tyce, he's the only boy so far...although Nikki and Isaac have one coming in April but I think it's too late he's already been overcome by 4 other girls!!!

Four jobs I've had....only four, how can I narrow that down!!! 1. Mesa Frozen Yogurt for like a week before Brock White acted like he was my dad and quit for me!! 2. Daniel Smith Appraisal Company for like a month before Shelly threw my keys into the mail slot in the door with a note saying I wasn't coming back!! I have such good friends!! 3. Grant Chiropractic.....maybe 3 months, before I supposedly caught a bad case of mono and couldn't come back!! 4. Dance Connection Too.....by far favorite job! I worked everyday with Chelsea, which by the way was so fun and so funny!!

Five things I'd like to do before I die....1. Do some traveling with my hubby 2. Serve a mission with him 3. Build our dream house 4. Watch our children grow 5. Buy my sweet husband another dirt bike so he will stop bugging me about it!!

Four favorite desserts....1. Katie Hunt's Chocolate chip cookies 2. Peanut butter and chocolate ice cream 3. fruit snacks 4. Anything sweet out of someone else's kitchen.....I hate baking!!!

Four facts about me....1. I learned how to ride a two wheeler when I was 3.....Nick still doesn't believe me, I guess I need to bust out the video!!! 2. I've never broken a bone or had a cavity.....knock on wood!!! 3. I drove my friends car off of an elevated sewage barrier in a park on Thanksgiving day 4 years ago and we all lived to tell the crazy story!!4. I had to wipe poop from babies bums with my bare hands in Ecuador.....super fun, you should try it!!

Four favorite TV shows....1. The Office 2. Amazing Race 3. The Today show.....I know..so old women like 4. Biggest Looser....gotta love those big people

Tag #3 6 facts/habits about myself...here's the good and the ugly!1. I'm a total clean freak and I love it!! 2. I hate school 3. I don't have patients for any sort of game.....I get such A.D.D. when playing games....unless I'm winning!!! 4. I love the summer....I'd take the 115 degree weather over the winter weather!! 5. I failed math class 4 times before I finally passed at the end of my senior year 6. I'm also not a fan of movies.....again way to much A.D.D to sit through it.

This is what my child does when I'm not looking!! Usually she takes every piece of clothing out of her dresser and puts as much of it on and around her and comes and tells me "look mama, cuuute." Bless her heart, I am soooo nervous about what I'm going to do when she can actually dress herself.....oh shoot me!!!

Well, I'm trying to get caught up now that we have our computer up and running again. Here are some pictures of the Bridges and us Thankgiving weekend. We decided to take the girls to see Santa and do a picnic at the park but the whole Santa thing didn't go over very well....Payson was scared to death!!!

We've kind of made it a tradition to take family pictures at Christmas time....so with that being said, it was time!! My good friend Jamie Hutchings from our ward is an amazing photographer so I asked if she would take them this year. She did an awesome job, we love them and loved the location she choose!! Good job Jamie, your the BEST!!!
Payson was not in a picture taking mood which was a total bummer, I think we got one smile out of her in a family picture the rest she was a little ticked that we made her sit still for a minute....go figure!! She was having a ball playing with all the leaves and pecans, never mind the camera!!!

Crazy old drunk man

Alright so funny story!! I was driving home tonight from mutual....which by the way our church building is a million miles away....lots of potential for funny things to happen!! I have a couple girls in my car along with my neighbor who also happens to be my beehive advisor....so fun!! Anyway, as we are driving we start to approach a police car that had just pulled someone over. My first initial reaction is to slow down as we pass and stare at whats going on....come on we all do it!! Then all of the sudden to our dismay the man that the police officer pulled over starts to stumble slash run into the street towards our oncoming car traveling at approx. 45 mph. Holy crap!! What was I supposed to do!! The police officer by now is totally spazzing out with his flash light and yelling at us to stop and for the man to get back into his car.....total chaos!! By now my heart was pounding out of my chest and I was so unsure of what I was supposed to do!! I was now driving on the wrong side of the road just to get as far away from the crazy old drunk man and the police officer was still yelling to confuse the heck out of me!! Anyway, the drunk man got back into his car and we drove on and we were freaked out for the rest of the night!! Now as I think of the total chaos I can't help but laugh and thought I share a tid bit of what happened tonight.
By the way, our computer is STILL getting fixed!! We have a loner for right now but I can't get my pictures from my camera on here so ya'll will just have to wait for me to update ya with some pics if we ever get our dang computer back!!!

Our computer has been acting so funny for the last little while and Nick and I have totally been neglecting all the pop ups saying something is wrong. Needless to say its now officially donezooo!!! We just dropped it off today to get fixed and I'm already having computer withdrawals!!! I never realized what a convenience it is to have a computer......hopefully it won't take much to fix it. So.....no blogging for me for a while!!!

About a month ago we starting landscaping our backyard and boy did Payson love every minute of it!! She spent endless hours out in the mud with Nick and I spent endless hours cleaning her up after the mess!! Our backyard is finally done, which means NO more mud!!! Now everytime we go one walks and Payson spots mud in someones yard she bolts right to it and takes care of buisness......oh shoot me!!! They end up mudless and I end up taking it all home....somethings wrong with that picture!!! Anyway, we had a great time finally making our home complete with a backyard. Props to my wonderful husband, dad and our good friend Isaac for all there hard work.

Five minutes before our ward Halloween party we decided to dress up. Nick was sooooo excited to wear the suit he wore for our senior prom, it has been collecting dust now for over 5 years. He was some sort of 70's disco, afro man,( you can't see the massive black afro wig in this pic) I was a nerd( I didn't have to try very hard) and Payson was a lady bug......she loved every minute of being dressed up!!

Alright so everybody has been telling me all about the hype of having a blog so I thought I'd jump on the band wagon and give it a shot!!! Please note that I am terrible with computers and will most likely have a very generic blog and if your lucky I might just figure out how to put some pictures on here!!!
So we had our annual Halloween bash and this year we hosted it!! It is always a fun event, TONS of food, fun and a night of being a referee to about 8 kids under the age of 4!!! We started the tradition last year and we've decided to carry on with it until everyone has a turn at the complete chaos!!! We have met so many wonderful friends from our ward since living out here in the boon docs as Nick and I refer to it!! Payson already has her little best friends that she plays with daily even a boy she just adores the heck out of and she's only 1......oh shoot me!!! It has been such a blessing to have met all of these wonderful people, we seriously are like family to each other.
